everything is laid back

let's be real. we're all adults now and we all have lives and jobs and stuff to do that doesn't revolve around rp. we have basic guidelines: your journals have to be in character, you have to be nice to each other out of character, you should have an in character and out of character post up and ready to go and your out of character post should have basic bullet points about your character. name, hometown, age, job, etc. no need to write a bio or go overboard. having said that, we're not so laid back that we don't require you to be active. comment around, participate in activities, and do all the basic things any place that wants to thrive needs it's members to do. you should update twice a month. we know, you're thinking, "a laid back community where i have to update twice?" hear us out! your updates can be anything you want. your updates can be two interactive posts, that's right! or it can be one interactive post and one with disabled comments (narrative, hover narrative, etc). the only requirement is that at least one is interactive. your updates can be lengthy or short, one word or 500. post a song, ask a question. literally whatever you want because we are running on less time than usual and we think that's easier on everyone. characters cannot be supernatural! they're normal people who occasionally get hit with something weird. anything that happens to your character in bangor is temporary and they won't be come full time werewolves or vampires. so please keep that in mind. manage your expectations is the last note we want to leave you with. rp is small on ij now. there are not a lot of people left. people may reply slower than we're used to or faster. give them a break and give yourself a break. have fun, be creative and don't put all kinds of pressure on yourself, others or the community to be exactly what you want. let's make the best of it.
